Should Bush and Cheney Still be Investigated?

Many Repulicans say Leahy should not pursue investigations of these war criminals. Apparently, the people who want to let these criminals get away with their crimes aren't experiencing the outrageous overpricing at the grocery store, or having their property tax doubled by avarice empowered politicians who took their lead at how to cheat the taxpayers for their own profit from Bush himself. They obviously haven't lost a loved one in the unnecessary war; they were not one of the many innocent Americans victimized by wiretapping; or tortured while not being protected by habeas corpus; and/or any one of the many serious crimes that were committed during the Bush Administration against this nation and its citizens. What about watching our country's worldwide status dissolve along with the value of the American dollar? Let us not forget the melting ice caps, disappearing from Earth, taking endangered species with them as global warming ran rampant for eight years with no fear of limitations being set for big business, goals for green technology by automakers, or punishment of the greedy oil industry? How many loved ones didn't they lose to disease not cured by non-funded stem cell research? The only people who have no reason to expect accountability from Bush and Cheney are those who benefited from the protection and many advantages they received during the Bush Administration such as religious organizations who were not made to comply with our Constitutional separation of church and state as they collected our tax dollars before any other; the Republican Congress members who voted the way Bush told them to vote instead of what their constituents wanted; Halliburton which "won" every contract on which they bid during the Iraq war; Blackwater who killed Iraqi civilians because they could and made a lot of money doing so without fear of retribution; the entire Bush and Cheney families who made a great deal of money from the war as well as the entire George W. Bush Administration. Not only should Bush and Cheney have to pay for their crimes, the entire Republican Party should be investigated for allowing the impeachment worthy practices of the prior Administration be allowed with their assistance while Bill Clinton's extramarital indiscretions were grounds for impeachment, as was the Watergate break-in and cover-up. While both practices were investigated and brought about impeachment proceedings, getting caught in lies about the Iraq War, warrantless wiretapping, torture, allowing a male prostitute to visit the White House frequently while misrepresenting himself as a member of the press, outing a CIA agent, politicizing the Justice Department with such tactics as the firing of eight U.S. Attorneys under mysterious circumstances and hiring replacements based on party loyalty and religious affiliation, failing Katrina victims, and many other failures were not enough to lead to Bush and Cheney being impeached. Yes, Leahy is on the right track, however delayed, but ignoring these crimes only guarantees their repetition.

Gay Used To Be Such A Happy Word

Under the tyranny of this homophobic administration, many times lending itself to the societal prejudices that demean America's gay citizens, why have these citizens not seized the opportunity presented by Jeff Gannon's many visits to the White House as a manner by which to advance their status as a formidable and serious segment of society whose rights are not to be denied them?

Surely the existence of former indiscretions by administrative staff are no further than an investigation away. If Larry Flynt and Mike Rogers can empty the closets, so can the GLBT. They did not always know they were going to be under the microscope as a member of the presidential staff, so careless moments were apt to have happened. Gays and lesbians are usually on the receiving end of governmental unfairness. Why not return the favor? Let's out an overpaid, untruthful, insincere administrative accomplice. Why should Larry and Mike have all the fun?

Bush White House Gay Sex Scandal

Oh man, I hate turning the movie on late or walking into the theatre after the movie starts. I missed the whole male prostitute in the White House thing. I guess the press must have missed it too. They missed it because they were told to miss it. How did Larry Flynt miss it? What about the gay reporter who is dragging gay politicians from their closets, Mike Rogers? Yes, he got Jeff Gannon to come out during his interview, but don't stop there, Mr. Rogers. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Gannon has been going in and out of the White House more often than Bush and under less supervision. Why? How? He is not the press, no matter what he claimed and some of his visits to the White House did not occur on days when press briefings were even held. Secret Service data shows Gannon arriving at the White House, but not leaving, indicating overnight stays that were denied unbelievably by Gannon. I must have slept through this whole outing. I wish I could have slept through Monica Lewinsky this easily, but the GOP wouldn't have allowed that either, would they? Didn't Fitzgerald get involved in the Jeff Gannon story? No, that wouldn't have been allowed either, would it?
